OVERVIEW

The King house starts with Greg and Liz King who came to us like many families looking for their long term home. The place their kids will grow up and a life time of memories will be made. Having already procured the land Milestone was brought in for the design and build. Wanting something classic but not stuffy lead us to a more transitional style exterior. Something that would stand the test of time and fit in with the neighborhood now and 100 years from now. The original pitch of the front peaks was a bit shallower. Prior to the start of framing Milestone’s designers suggested an adjustment to give the home more dramatic lines. A two-story living room was originally a want but we opted for 11’ ceilings on the entire first floor giving the entire main living floor a unique airiness. This height makes the custom inset kitchen cabinetry that runs floor to ceiling even more impressive. A flex space on the first floor was designed to move from play room to office as the children grew older. Surrounded by mature trees this neighborhood home still feels secluded and private. Making a large covered back patio with one side of the two sided fireplace a perfect second living space during the more temperate months. This stylish home turned out beautiful. It was a privilege to be a part of this family’s story.
